1. Who we are
Sircles ("we", "us") operates the Sircles mobile apps, the guest registration site and this website (together, the "Service"). The Service matches verified members into small groups for in-person events at partner venues in Egypt. For anything in this policy, contact privacy@sircles.club.
2. What we collect
We collect only what the Service needs to work:
- Account details — your name (in Arabic and English), email, phone number, date of birth, gender, industry and password.
- Identity verification data — an image of your national ID and a selfie, used solely to confirm you are a real, unique person (see section 4).
- Profile information — your photo, bio, neighbourhood, city, language preference and personality quiz answers.
- Activity data — events you book and attend, your level progress, connections you make, evaluations you submit and messages you send through in-app chat.
- Guest data — if you register as a guest: your name, phone, email, ID image and selfie, provided through our guest registration site.
- Technical data — device tokens for push notifications and basic diagnostics needed to keep the app running.
3. How we use it
- To verify your identity and keep the community limited to real, vetted people.
- To match you into compatible groups using your quiz answers, age range and stated preferences.
- To run events: bookings, QR check-in, venue reveals and post-event evaluations.
- To keep members safe: handling SOS alerts, reports and community-standing decisions.
- To communicate with you: booking confirmations, verification updates, reminders and the notifications you've opted into.
- To process membership payments.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show you advertising.
4. Identity verification
Verification is what makes Sircles different, so we handle it with extra care:
- Your phone number is stored encrypted. Your national ID number is never stored in readable form — we keep only a one-way cryptographic hash, used to prevent duplicate or banned accounts.
- ID images and selfies are stored in a private, access-controlled location and are viewable only by trained reviewers through time-limited links.
- Verification may be assisted by a specialist identity-verification provider, which processes your ID and selfie on our behalf under contract.
- If your account is permanently banned for safety reasons, we retain the ID hash (not the image or number) to prevent re-registration.
5. What other members see
Other members never see your phone number, email, date of birth or ID. At an event, your table sees your first name, photo and level. After an event, members you mutually connect with can chat with you in the app. Evaluations and any discomfort reports you submit are visible only to our safety team, never to other members.
6. Payments
Membership payments are processed by a licensed payment provider. Your card details are entered directly into the provider's secure checkout and never touch our servers. We receive only the transaction outcome, amount and a payment reference needed to activate your membership.
7. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers required to operate Sircles — identity verification, payments, email, SMS delivery, push notifications and cloud hosting — each bound to use it solely to provide their service. Partner venues see only the first names and check-in status of attendees for their own events. We may disclose data where required by Egyptian law or to protect the safety of members.
8. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, payment or safety reasons (such as the ID hash of banned accounts and required transaction records).
9. Your rights
You can access and update most of your information directly in the app. You may also ask us to export your data, correct it, or delete your account entirely by emailing privacy@sircles.club. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
10. Children
Sircles is strictly for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and our verification process enforces this.
11. Updates to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you in the app and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
